You may have experienced some obstacles near Whyte avenue if you were driving north on Gateway in December. Just in time for Christmas shopping, work started on the washrooms. Utility connections needed some archaeological work to sort out the maze of services that evolved with Strathcona over the past 100 years. That work is done and excavation of the site itself happened over the past few weeks. It doesn’t look like much, but there’s a lot of work hidden from view under and inside buildings…
