Anneliese Fris, Architect
An architect with 12 years experience, Anneliese has worked on a variety of projects in the health care, cultural, community + residential sectors. Anneliese is strongly committed to providing buildings that demonstrate sustainable principles – an interest that was fostered while completing her architecture degree at the University of British Columbia.
Anneliese particularly enjoys the planning process of design which requires attention to client requests and a sensitive interpretation of the project requirements into built form. She is interested in a regional architectural expression that is responsive to site, culture and climate. She enjoys exploring the play of materials within built form and appreciates the juxtaposition of human scaled elements within the larger scale of the overall building.
Heather Thompson, Interior Designer
With 10 years of experience in the interior design field, Heather brings a broad interiors base to architecture. Exposure to several urban centers has influenced her approach to design.
The spaces we work and play in need to be accommodating, flexible, and meaningful. Heather enjoys creating environments that influence people daily and are environmentally sensitive. The process of creating design that truly transforms, via thorough client review and consideration, most interests Heather. She finds a design aesthetic of unexpected use of ‘everyday’ materials, and unencumbered spaces intriguing.
James Townsend, Architect
In the profession since 1987, James is an architect with experience in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional and health care projects.
James believes every project is inherently unique and is committed to a collaborative design process in which the client, architect and consultants work together as an integrated team. He believes in architecture that is shaped by site-specific, regional and cultural influences and form that is expressed through clarity of function, materials and human scale.
